The 14th Annual Arvest Winterfest presented with CommunityCare will kick off another season of holiday fun later this month. Named by People Magazine as the top holiday destination in Oklahoma\, Arvest Winterfest presented with CommunityCare will be open from Friday\, November 19 through Monday\, January 3. \nThis year\, ice skating is back outside BOK Center on Third Street. Over the last 14 years\, attendance for this event has soared from 35\,000 visitors in 2008 to more than 150\,000. This year the annual holiday celebration will be open for 47 days\, giving as many Tulsans as possible a chance to enjoy skating outside BOK Center beneath the beautiful\, gleaming holiday lights. \nEnjoy 9\,000 square feet of beautifully-maintained ice as you skate. Skate sizes include: Toddler size 8 up through adult size 15 (subject to availability). Six skating guides are free to use (first come\, first serve). Non-skaters enter Winterfest free! Locker rentals available onsite. \n$6 per skater\nTICKET HANDLING: Physical\, non-refundable passes will be issued for this event. Dissecting an owl pellet and identifying the bones inside allows your student scientists to study the diet of owls. DESCRIPTION:Challenge your students to use their observation skills to spot threats and opportunities\, work as a team to reveal secrets\, and think like a gadget-maker to solve problems. \nOur spy school is targeted to students in grades 3 and up\, and adults. Participants will explore the shadow-world of espionage through interactive challenges with real-world stories. Do you have what it takes to be a spy? \nSpots are limited\, but we have multiple programs scheduled on November 16 to accommodate as many students as possible. Your family will be assigned to one of those programs\, so keep 10:00 am through 5:00 pm EST open that day. (The program will run around 1 hour. You won’t be able to choose your time.)

DESCRIPTION:Homeschool and Distance Learning Days\nVisit for a fun\, educational outing at a discounted rate for homeschool families and families participating in distance learning. Admission will include access to complimentary scavenger hunts and discounted tours (first-come\, first-serve). \n25% Off Behind-the-Scenes Tours\nHomeschool and distance-learning students can also enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour for 25% off by registering online in advance! Behind-the-scenes tours visit our small and large animal quarantine buildings\, where students will see a loggerhead sea turtle and juvenile bull sharks\, and will learn about how we care for our animals and their tanks. Tour lasts 30 minutes. All participants must sign a waiver. Tour participants are not permitted to bring food\, beverage\, or strollers on the tour. This tour is wheelchair accessible; however\, stairs are required for optimal viewing on some parts of the tour. Students aged 12 and under must participate with a parent/guardian present.
